Revanth reviews distribution of uniforms, essentials to government school students

Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy convened a meeting on Saturday to address the distribution of school uniforms and essential supplies to government school students. He directed officials to devise an advance action plan to ensure timely distribution on the first day of the upcoming academic year, noting the anticipated 10% increase in enrolment. Reddy expressed satisfaction with the quality of uniforms supplied this year but emphasized the need for more attractive designs by exploring various color combinations.

During the review, officials reported that the first set of uniforms for students in government schools, hostels, and residential schools had been distributed, with the second set expected by the end of September. Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalayas (KGBVs) and Model Schools had already received both sets. The review also covered the distribution of other essentials, including notebooks, plates, glasses, bowls, spoons, cups, carpets, bedsheets, and towels, to students in various government institutions.

State Government Adviser P. Sudarshan Reddy, MP Vem Narender Reddy, and Principal Secretary K. Sridhar Rao attended the meeting, along with senior officials from multiple departments. Reddy stressed the importance of better planning to accommodate the projected enrollment growth.
