Osun CP presents N13.5m cheques to fallen officer’s families

The Commissioner of Police for Osun State, CP Ibrahim Zungura, recently distributed welfare cheques totaling N13.5 million to the families of police officers who lost their lives while serving. The cheque presentation took place at the Osun State Police Command headquarters in Osogbo on Friday as part of approved welfare support for the families of fallen officers.

CP Zungura received the bereaved families in his office and offered condolences while acknowledging the bravery and sacrifices of the deceased officers. He emphasized that the financial assistance aimed to provide support to the families following their loss and urged them to use the funds wisely. CP Zungura reassured the families that the Nigeria Police Force remains a supportive community both during and after service, stating that the IGP's administration remains committed to their welfare.

He expressed confidence that the IGP's administration would continue to provide necessary support to the families of fallen officers, reaffirming their status as part of the police family.
