Muhyiddin harap JPPM putus status Bersatu dalam PN segera

Perikatan Nasional (PN) is facing controversy over Muhyiddin Yassin's party's status within the coalition, following PAS President Hadi Awang's claim that Bersatu is no longer a component of the opposition grouping. Muhyiddin expressed hope that the Malaysian Registration of Corporate Entities (JPPM) will determine the party's membership status soon.

He said the matter is left to JPPM's discretion to decide after Azmin Ali, Deputy President of Bersatu, was asked to provide clarification. Muhyiddin also mentioned that Bersatu had previously raised eight main issues of alleged infringement and disrespect by the current PN leadership, prompting the party to lodge an official complaint with JPPM, which has taken notice of the issue.

JPPM reportedly stated last month that they are investigating Bersatu's concerns regarding its withdrawal from the joint chief ministers' meeting on July 16, which finalized the distribution of seats among component parties ahead of the PRN in Negeri Sembilan. However, PN Chairman Ahmad Samsuri Mokhtar later affirmed that Bersatu remains a component party of PN, despite allegations that the party's membership would automatically be lost if it chooses to join or form a different coalition.
