The replacement of the Agong permitted former Prime Minister Najib Razak to complete the remaining six years of his prison sentence while serving at home, following his conviction in the SRC International case. This conditional pardon came with the requirement for Najib to pay a RM50 million fine. Amanah Mujahid, the vice president of Mujahid, questioned the moral compass of Umno and PAS in their reaction to the conditional pardon of the former prime minister.

Despite expressing respect for the Agong's decision, Mujahid expressed concern over the manner in which Umno and PAS celebrated the decision as a victory. He questioned the honor of their actions when the consequences of such behavior no longer carry shame, but are instead celebrated as a win. Furthermore, Mujahid was dismayed by Umno's practice of soliciting party membership fees to aid in Najib's RM50 million fine payment.

This fundraising effort, he argued, did not contribute to helping the less fortunate or those affected by calamity, but rather supported a former prime minister convicted of wrongdoing. Mujahid emphasized that losing moral courage to firmly oppose corruption would ultimately prevent Umno and PAS from defending the honor of the Malay race and the Muslim community.

He urged Malays to make significant decisions regarding their honor soon. He warned against allowing the honor of Malays to be represented to those who normalize criminality, as the next generation might view criminal acts as a form of heroism. Umno and PAS previously welcomed the conditional pardon of Najib, with Umno launching a rapid fundraising campaign to help him repay the fine and complete his house arrest sentence.

The Umno president, Zahid Hamidi, also expressed hope that this development would boost the Barisan Nasional (BN) ahead of the upcoming PRN Melaka election. Meanwhile, PAS expressed gratitude for the pardon, believing that Najib could still contribute to the nation from his house arrest status. Meanwhile, Wawasan, another PN member, expressed satisfaction with the decision as it upheld the controversy surrounding Najib's pardon, while Pejuang urged for detailed explanations regarding the mechanism and conditions for house arrest.
