Luke Littler takes on amateurs for Netflix show

Darts champion Luke Littler, aged 19 from Warrington, is inviting members of the public to challenge him to a game of darts as part of a new Netflix show. The audition event, called Beat Luke Littler, will take place at Manchester Central Convention Complex and will serve as the second and final regional audition for the series. Participants aged 12 and over can apply to enter the competition, but anyone under 18 attending open auditions must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

The contestants will compete to become one of the final 20 players who will then appear on a live show set to air on October 30. Those who make it to the final round will aim to achieve a score of zero in darts, working down from the standard 501 points. The show's judging panel includes 16-time world champion Phil "The Power" Taylor, PDC pro Laura Turner, and sports promoter Barry Hearn.

Littler rose to fame in 2024 when, at just 16 years old, he reached the final of the prestigious PDC World Darts Championship. He has since gone on to win the Premier League and Grand Slam of Darts, establishing himself as the youngest world champion in history by claiming the 2025 world title at the age of 17. Littler announced the auditions in a video message in July, encouraging potential contestants to challenge him with the words, "Reckon you could beat me in a game of darts? Let's go."
