Karnataka’s educational ecosystem has created strong talent pool, says Sharan Prakash Patil

Karnataka's educational system has cultivated a robust talent pool, according to Higher Education Minister Sharan Prakash Patil, who spoke at the inauguration of the KLE Academy of Higher Education and Research's Jagadguru Gangadhar Mahaswamigalu Moorusavirmath Medical College and KLE Hospital and Medical Research Centre in Hubballi.

The Minister credited the progress in professional education to the combined efforts of government institutions and private organizations and religious foundations over the past few decades. Union Home Minister Amit Shah visited the new medical college and hospital, praising the vision of KAHER chancellor Prabhakar Kore and KLE Society, and lighting the lamp to formally inaugurate the facilities.

Dr. Patil highlighted the state's strong talent pool, noting that around 1.48 lakh students are enrolled in KLE institutions, and assured the society of government support. Union Minister Pralhad Joshi emphasized the need for medical professionals and the global demand for Indian healthcare personnel, praising the human touch in India's medical system and the contributions of the KLE Society on the global stage.

He also discussed India's young population and the potential for providing healthcare resources to an aging world, highlighting the Ayushman Bharat scheme and the rise of India's pharmaceutical and technological sectors. Joshi noted the increase in medical colleges from 300 to 750 under the Modi government and the establishment of 22 AIIMS hospitals, aiming for one doctor for every 1,000 people.

He also mentioned infrastructure projects, including the Hubballi-Ankola railway line, and touted India's growth as a global economy. KAHER chancellor Prabhakar Kore shared the history of the KLE Society and its contributions to the region, expressing gratitude for the land donation of 23 acres by the Moorusavir Mutt.
