The Jharkhand government plans to collaborate with IIT (ISM) Dhanbad, Ranchi University and Nirmala College, Ranchi to enhance the implementation of drinking water schemes, improve the quality of potable water and ensure a consistent supply of clean drinking water across the state, an official revealed on Saturday. According to a statement, Imran emphasized that academic institutions' involvement would elevate scheme quality and guarantee a steady flow of clean drinking water to the public. The institutions will offer technical guidance on matters such as pipeline leak detection, the design of water supply systems, and their operation and maintenance.
Joint research will also be conducted to examine iron, fluoride, and total dissolved solids (TDS) levels in water across the state. Furthermore, an action plan will be formulated to evaluate the impact of environmental degradation on water sources in mining regions, specifically Dhanbad and Jharia, and to secure their long-term sustainability.
