Gabriel, 15, in Barcelona amid speculation over future

Manchester United's teenage prospect JJ Gabriel has arrived in Barcelona amid intense interest from top European clubs. The 15-year-old forward has informed the Red Devils that he wishes to release him from his registration. Reports suggest that Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, Paris Saint-Germain, and Barcelona are all keen on signing the forward.

Gabriel, who left the UK on Thursday, is currently in Barcelona. If Manchester United retains his registration, Gabriel would be barred from moving to another English club until the end of the season. However, if he acquires a European Union passport through his father, a former Republic of Ireland international, or his mother, who has Greek-Cypriot heritage, he may be able to join an EU club once he turns 16 on October 6.

Since his debut in UEFA Youth League with a hat-trick on September 10, Gabriel has not trained with United. This has sparked frustration among sources close to the young player, who were upset that United did not register him for their Champions League opener against Sabah FK, which the Londoner's side won 4-0.

United manager Michael Carrick was questioned about Gabriel during his news conference ahead of the Premier League match against Fulham. The manager advised caution and sensitivity towards the young player, stating that the situation will unfold naturally. Gabriel has scored in his first two Premier League 2 games for United this season, but he will not feature in the upcoming match against Brentford at Leigh Sports Village.
