Dubai Police warn of fake Global Village Season 31 websites and social media scams

Dubai Police has issued a caution to residents about the presence of fraudulent websites and social media accounts attempting to sell fake packages for the upcoming Season 31 of Global Village Dubai. The scammers aim to exploit the high demand for these deals to steal money and personal data. The warning comes as the Global Village prepares to unveil its exclusive VIP Packs for Season 31, which will be offered in stages exclusively through the Coca-Cola Arena website.

Presales will take place from September 21st to 25th, allowing guests to purchase their preferred packs at an additional cost, followed by general sales on September 26th.

Dubai Police has noted that such fraudulent activities typically resurface each year around the announcement of Global Village events and packages. Scammers often create or replicate websites and social media accounts that closely mimic official pages, deceiving users into believing they are interacting with an authorized platform.

Victims may then be coerced into making fraudulent purchases or disclosing personal information that can be exploited later. The police also advise the public to be wary of prices or offers that appear significantly discounted or too good to be true.

To safeguard personal data and financial well-being, the public is urged to purchase tickets and packages exclusively through official, authorized channels. It is essential to avoid clicking on links or following accounts from unknown sources.
