Disha Salian's Father Visits Thackeray Residence To Serve Defamation Notice

Satish Salian, the father of the late celebrity manager Disha Salian, is scheduled to deliver a ₹500-crore defamation notice to Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Aaditya Thackeray at Matoshree on Saturday evening. Satish, speaking to reporters, stated that he has no fear of Shiv Sainiks, as they are human beings like him and he is from Mumbai. He expressed confidence in the justice system, saying that whoever is guilty will be punished.

Earlier this week, Satish had sent legal notices to Aaditya Thackeray and former Maharashtra home minister Anil Deshmukh, demanding Rs 500 crore in damages, an apology, and a retraction over statements alleging that his efforts to seek a fresh investigation into Disha's death were politically motivated. The notice claims that the statements questioned Satish's integrity and motives as a father pursuing legal actions concerning his daughter's death.

Advocate Nilesh Ojha, representing the case, recently leveled fresh allegations, calling Uddhav Thackeray the "prime accused" and accusing former Mumbai cop Sachin Waze of being reinstated shortly before Disha's death, allegedly to cover up wrongdoing. Ojha also alleged that CCTV and digital evidence surrounding Disha's death had been manipulated. Aaditya Thackeray, meanwhile, has denied any knowledge of or connection to Disha Salian, describing the allegations against him as a politically motivated campaign.
