Carlos Beltrán won’t rule out interviewing for Mets manager but doesn’t sound interested

New York Mets manager Carlos Beltrán has indicated he wouldn't rule out interviewing for the position but isn't particularly interested in the job. The number 15 was retired by the team on Saturday before the Mets' next-to-last home game of a disappointing season. The 2019 manager was fired 76 days after being hired, following the Houston Astros' sign-stealing scandal.

Beltrán, a nine-time All-Star, is also the father of two young children and runs the Carlos Beltrán Academy in Puerto Rico. He currently enjoys being a husband and a dad, activities he believes would not be possible if he became a manager.
