Tokyo - Canada’s men’s rugby team secured a thrilling 19-16 victory over the United States on Saturday, placing third in the Pacific Nations Cup. Ben LeSage kicked off the scoring with an early try as Canada held onto their lead to claim third place in the tournament for the first time since 2014 and second in 2013. Mason Flesch and Jesse Kilgour added two more tries for Canada, with Mason Flesch scoring his third try of the tournament.

Cooper Coats broke through the defense for the United States' lone try. After the U.S. scored an early try, Canada extended their lead to 12-0 following an American lineout error. Despite a U.S. comeback in the second half, Canada's defense held firm, sealing their victory in the final minutes.
