Arteta vows Arsenal will learn from chastening Brighton defeat

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta conceded that Brighton were the superior side after his team's 3-0 loss to the hosts. Brighton's impressive 16-goal tally in five games underscored their prowess.

The loss left Arsenal in second place on goal difference with 12 points, trailing Brighton who had taken the lead early via a Pascal Gross strike off the post. Charalampos Kostoulas and Chema Andres added two more goals with Kostoulas scoring from 25 yards and Andres heading in from a corner. Arteta acknowledged Arsenal's technical errors and their failure to compete at the necessary level, especially in the early stages of the first half.

However, he emphasized the team's exceptional performance since the World Cup, vowing to learn from this experience and bounce back. Brighton's victory was characterized by their relentless pressing, limiting Arsenal's ball control, and their clinical finishing in the box, contributing to their goal-scoring surge.
