Alexander leads Alouettes to 37-25 win over Ticats

Montreal Alouettes secured a 37-25 victory over the Hamilton Tiger-Cats in the Hall of Fame game on Friday night. The win marked the Alouettes' second in four games and solidified their dominance in the East Division, improving their record to 7-0 against conference rivals. Davis Alexander, the Alouettes' quarterback, threw for two touchdowns and completed 21-of-27 passes for 218 yards, earning his fifth win in four meetings with Hamilton.

The Alouettes are on a 3-0 season sweep of Hamilton. Stevie Scott contributed 108 rushing yards. Tyler Snead, a receiver for the Alouettes, suffered a knee sprain in the second half and did not return the game. Hamilton, coming off a bye week, suffered their fourth consecutive loss of the season. The team committed six turnovers, including four interceptions and a fumble, leading to their defeat.

Harrison Frost, Hamilton's quarterback, completed 33-of-50 passes for 340 yards with three touchdowns and four interceptions in his third start of the season. Caleb Evans scored two touchdowns for the Ticats, including a two-yard run in the fourth quarter that reduced Montreal's lead to 34-3. However, Hamilton was unable to capitalize on their scoring opportunities, falling to 1-5 within the East Division.

With Hamilton's loss, the Toronto Argonauts, currently at 7-6, can secure a post-season berth and a home playoff game with a win against the Edmonton Elks on Saturday.
