50 years on, these La Salle schoolmates are still showing up

Fifty years after graduating from La Salle Brickfields in Kuala Lumpur, members of the Class of 1976 reunited on Malaysia Day for their golden reunion. The school, which catered to students only until Form Three, had alumni from diverse backgrounds and religions. This year, the reunion was held at La Salle Hall, marking a special occasion for those who travelled from overseas to be present.

The date of September 16 was chosen due to it being a public holiday, making it easier for the old classmates to attend. Reunions like these relive the memories of their teenage years, filled with high school moments, careers, families, illnesses, and losses. Organising committee member Basil Sylvester Francis highlighted the importance of the reunion in renewing the sense of belonging, as they continue to carry the Lasallian tradition of service into their later lives.
