West Bengal Marks PM Narendra Modi's 76th Birthday With PM Vishwakarma Launch, Wax Statue

Kolkata witnessed a grand celebration on the 76th birthday of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, with Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari unveiling a 5.7-foot wax-and-iron statue of the leader at the BJP headquarters. Adhikari emphasized how PM Narendra Modi's leadership has elevated the nation's economy, positioning it at the 4th place, with the potential to further rise to the 3rd position in the coming year. Adhikari also highlighted India's strong support from Russia and China during the Pahalgam issue.

In the state of West Bengal, the celebration took on a more personal touch with the launch of the PM Vishwakarma Yojana. Adhikari explained that the previous government had prevented the scheme's implementation, resulting in several central government schemes remaining unimplemented. Now, with the launch of the PM Vishwakarma Yojana, numerous individuals will benefit across the state.

Adhikari joined Babughat to participate in the lighting of the lamp ceremony as part of the Prime Minister’s birthday festivities. He pointed out that Modi's transition from Chief Minister to Prime Minister has significantly contributed to the nation's economic growth, with the economy rising from the 12th position to the current 4th position under Modi's leadership.

The 5.7-foot wax-and-iron statue of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, crafted by sculptor Sushanta Roy, was unveiled to mark his 76th birthday and demonstrate his 25 years of public service. Roy spent nearly two months creating the figure, dressing it in a Bengali dhuti and kurta as Modi did on May 4 after the saffron camp won the Bengal elections.

Bengal Panchayat minister Dilip Ghosh expressed that everyone would pray for Modi's well-being by lighting lamps, and they would conduct a month-long seva abhiyan to inform people about Modi's contributions to the nation.
