UFC 333 countdown: One night, two title fights and a trilogy to be decided in Abu Dhabi

UFC 333 is fast approaching, and anticipation for the big event is growing. On October 24 at Etihad Arena, Alexander Volkanovski will defend his featherweight title against Movsar Evloev. This will be a trilogy fight following Evloev's majority decision win over Lerone Murphy in March. Evloev, an unbeaten Russian, had taken a point deduction in the fourth round for illegal groin strikes, but still managed to convince the judges in their favor.

Known as one of the best wrestlers in the game, Evloev initially chose to stand and trade with Murphy, but later dominated him. Volkanovski, who arrives in Abu Dhabi after two wins over Diego Lopes, warned Evloev that he would be making a mistake if he tried to stand toe-to-toe with him. Though some are wary of another boring fight, Volkanovski is confident this will be a striking battle.

In the co-main event, Petr Yan will face Merab Dvalishvili, settling their trilogy. Dvalishvili, the bantamweight champion, is determined to reclaim his title, while Yan, who defeated Dvalishvili in their first meeting, aims to avenge his loss. The undercard also features Lone'er Kavanagh, who seeks to protect his top-six ranking and potentially move into title contention, and Ramazan Temirov, a fearsome puncher who aims to take the belt.
