‘Thank you’: Negeri Sembilan ruler Tuanku Muhriz receives memorandum of loyalty

KUALA PILAH, Sept 18 — Tuanku Muhriz, the Yang Dipertuan Besar of Negeri Sembilan, was honored with a memorandum of loyalty and support following his Friday prayer at the Tuanku Munawir Royal Mosque. Accompanied by his sons and important figures, Tuanku Muhriz gathered with over 500 congregants for the prayer led by the mosque's executive imam, Abdul Rahman Ibrahim.

Expressing gratitude, Tuanku Muhriz thanked everyone present. Dr Mohd Aluwi Sari, head of the Secretariat for Loyalty and Support, presented the memorandum, emphasizing the commitment to the royal institution, Constitution, Adat Perpatih, rule of law, and peace and harmony. He also urged respect for the royal institution and Negeri Sembilan's customary structure.

The AGC invalidated an April 19 proclamation due to non-compliance with constitutional requirements, stating that the Menteri Besar and State Executive Council lacked authority to depose Tuanku Muhriz. The Negeri Sembilan Dewan Keadilan dan Undang (DKU) reaffirmed Tuanku Muhriz's status as the lawful Yang Dipertuan Besar and council chairman.
