An upcoming film, Ramayana: Part 1, is generating buzz as it prepares to release in English, a version that will be notably shorter than its Hindi counterpart. Ranbir Kapoor, Yash, and Sai Pallavi star in this eagerly anticipated film, which is set to release on Diwali this year. Despite the film being shot in Hindi, it will be dubbed for multiple languages, including English.

However, a report in Variety India reveals that the English version will be 30 minutes briefer than the Hindi cut. The reason behind this decision, according to a source, is the difference in audience preferences between Indian and global viewers. Indian audiences are accustomed to lengthy films with songs, whereas a global audience might not find the same appeal. Therefore, the producers decided to trim the film, removing songs and certain scenes to cater to an international viewership.

The English trailer of Ramayana: Part 1 has been released with great fanfare, and many have noted that the English trailer appears superior to the Hindi version. The film is not actually in English; it is dubbed, but the lip-sync in the trailer has been praised for its accuracy. To ensure consistency across languages, the producers reportedly employed AI technology to perfect the lip-sync in every language, not just English and Hindi.

Ramayana: Part 1 is a two-part film. Part 1 is scheduled to premiere during Diwali this year, while Part 2 is planned for release during Diwali next year. Part 1 concludes with the climactic entry of Hanuman, played by Sunny Deol.
