Prince Harry makes London appearance as fresh claims about King Charles emerge

London, September 18 — Prince Harry made his first public appearance since returning to Britain with his family last month. The 42-year-old prince, who previously left for California alongside his wife Meghan, attended a fundraising event for his Invictus Games for wounded veterans. Dressed in a smoking jacket adorned with his military decorations, Harry took selfies with injured former soldiers at the event.

Meghan did not join him. The couple and their two children made their way back to the UK on August 26 and have kept a low profile since their return.

Speculation has arisen regarding the reason for their return, given that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex left in the midst of a falling-out with their family. The tensions between Harry and his relatives escalated after he published his memoir Spare. Harry's appearance at the event came after Harry's brother, Charles Spencer, released a memoir in the Daily Mail newspaper, criticizing King Charles III's behavior towards his ex-wife, Princess Diana.

Charles Spencer alleged that then-prince Charles sounded "giddily elated" the night Diana died in a car crash in 1996, prompting Buckingham Palace to issue an unusual rebuttal. The palace stated that Charles is "mindful that the pain of fraternal grief can cloud reason, affect judgment and colour memory".
