Over 5 Lakh Diyas Illuminate Indore, 2.51 Lakh Lit Around Rajwada On PM Narendra Modi’s Birthday

Over 5 lakh diyas illuminated the city of Indore as BJP launched its Seva Sankalp Abhiyan to commemorate Prime Minister Narendra Modi's birthday on Thursday evening. The main event took place around Rajwada and in front of the Ahilya Mata statue, where citizens and BJP workers gathered to light lamps and pray for the Prime Minister's long life and good health.

BJP City President Sumit Mishra announced that 2.51 lakh diyas were lit specifically around Rajwada, with additional lamps placed at beneficiaries' homes and across the city.

The campaign aimed to showcase the benefits of various Central government welfare schemes, with beneficiaries, party workers and citizens participating in the event. Aashirwad ke Diye were lit, and prayers were offered for Modi's longevity and well-being. According to the party, the initiative encompassed 85 wards, 35 mandals, 345 Shakti Kendras and 2,097 polling booths.

During the campaign, BJP workers visited beneficiary families and households to light lamps, while participants took a pledge for Viksit Bharat 2047. The event highlighted the BJP's efforts to engage with the local community and promote their welfare schemes. In a separate political commentary, Indore's Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan criticized the Congress party for ignoring tribal icons like Tantya Bhil and instead glorifying only the Nehru-Gandhi family.
