2.5 Lakh ‘Aashirwad Ka Diyas’ Illuminate Bhopal On PM Modi’s 76th Birthday

On Thursday, the 76th birthday of Prime Minister Narendra Modi was celebrated in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, with a grand display of 2.50 lakh earthen lamps, known as Aashirwad Ka Diya. This symbolic act aimed to pray for the Prime Minister's continued health and long life, while also commemorating his 25 years of political service, which began on October 7, 2001 when he took office as the chief minister of Gujarat.

The festivities were organized across 11 major locations, extending to 17 villages within the Bhopal district. The event marked the official kickoff of Seva Sankalp Abhiyan, a month-long public outreach initiative set to run from September 17 to October 17. This campaign, spearheaded by Chief Minister Mohan Yadav, will continue the celebrations with a series of welfare activities in Madhya Pradesh.

Chief Minister Mohan Yadav initiated the campaign by participating in the lamp-lighting ceremony. The event also saw the participation of other key officials including Minister Vishvas Sarang, Bhopal MP Alok Sharma, and MLAs Rameshwar Sharma and Bhagwandas Sabnani, along with other BJP leaders. Blood donation drives took place at JP Hospital, where Minister Vishvas Sarang distributed fruit juice to the donors.

Notable attendees included Collector Priyank Mishra, BMC Commissioner Sanskriti Jain, and others who joined the diya illumination program at various locations. The celebration concluded with CM Mohan Yadav inaugurating the Seva Sankalp Abhiyan, promising a month filled with welfare activities for the citizens of Madhya Pradesh.
