Okta appoints Helen Riley to board of directors

Okta, Inc., a San Francisco-based company, announced on September 14, 2026 that Helen Riley has been appointed to its board of directors. Riley currently holds the positions of Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer at X (The Moonshot Factory), a research and development subsidiary of Alphabet, Inc. She joined X in 2015 in her capacity as Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, and took on her current role in 2023.

Riley has over two decades of senior leadership experience within Alphabet and its subsidiaries, including roles such as Senior Finance Director of Global Marketing at Google and Finance Director of Global G&A. Before joining Alphabet, she served on the boards of Eventbrite, Inc. and Marqeta, Inc.

Okta expressed gratitude to Emilie Choi, who stepped down from the board on the same day, for her contributions to the company. Todd McKinnon, the CEO and Co-Founder of Okta, stated that they appreciate Riley's service to the company. Okta specializes in providing identity and access management solutions for businesses and developers.
