Moscow summons British envoy over weapons supplies to Ukraine

On Friday, the Russian Foreign Ministry summoned Britain's chargé d'affaires in Moscow, Danae Dholakia, to deliver a formal protest regarding the UK's increased arms supplies to Ukraine. The ministry argued that by providing more weapons, London was indirectly supporting the atrocities committed by the Kiev regime, which it labeled as terrorism and war crimes.

In contrast, Britain's Foreign Office spokesperson dismissed the summoning as a ploy to distract from Russia's full-scale invasion and damage the UK's global reputation. Relations between Russia and the UK are already strained, with the Russian ambassador's departure in July rumored to be due to London's significant support for Ukraine.

Meanwhile, Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk announced that Poland would join an anti-ballistic missile coalition with Ukraine and other allies, marking its involvement in the project. Tusk, speaking at a summit of a new Carpathian countries grouping in western Ukraine, pledged further support for Ukraine, asserting that Poland's stance against Russian aggression is unwavering.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky praised Poland's latest aid package, emphasizing the shared bond of being neighbors, friends, and partners against a common enemy.
