Lone holdout juror in Lindsay Clancy trial says he 'didn't have any doubts'

Michael P. Desronvil, the sole juror who cast the deciding vote in the Lindsay Clancy trial, has hired attorney Edward Andrew Paltzik. Paltzik, who previously represented late teen Nolan Wells' friends, announced the representation on X, describing his client as a "courageous and heroic" American and a "Champion of Justice." He revealed that the juror is currently staying in an undisclosed secure location in rural Northern New England following threats and intense public backlash.

Desronvil defended his position during the jury deliberations, stating that he had no doubts and that the prosecution's evidence convinced him that Lindsay Clancy acted knowingly. However, multiple jurors claim that the holdout juror did not meaningfully engage in deliberations or properly apply the legal standard of reasonable doubt.

This led to a mistrial, as the required unanimous verdict was not reached. Desronvil has been the target of online backlash and has accused unnamed "evil people" of viciously attacking him. Paltzik, representing Desronvil, also stated that any GoFundMe or GiveSendGo pages claiming to raise money for the juror are unauthorized scams.
