Jomoro roads need urgent attention — Awulae Kwasi Armachi III

Awulae Kwasi Armachi III, President of the Western Nzema Traditional Council, has expressed dissatisfaction with the poor condition of the roads in Jomoro Municipality, Western Region. The long-standing road from Samenyi to Newtown, approximately 25 kilometers in length, is a significant challenge for the local residents and motorists.

The Chief made this observation during the presentation of educational materials by Member of Parliament Dorcas Affo-Toffey, who is also the Deputy Transport Minister. The road, which passes key junctions like Jaway Wharf Junction and Half Assini, has been in a deplorable state, necessitating urgent attention. The Chief stated, "The only issue that we are not satisfied with is our roads from Samenyi to Newtown, but I know that she is also talking to me about it and that she will deliver, and I know she will deliver."

He added, "Whoever you send, the person who goes abroad and brings something new is the person you have to send." MP Affo-Toffey responded to the concerns, stating that the contractor had been delayed in starting the construction and would be stationed at the Samenyi Barrier to commence work on the project.
