IGP urges Okada Riders Association to ensure members receive safe riding training

In a recent meeting, the Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Mr Christian Tetteh Yohuno, called on the Okada Riders Association of Ghana (ORAG) to ensure its members receive proper training in safe riding practices and comply with road traffic regulations. At the gathering, held alongside members of the Police Management Board (POMAB), Yohuno stressed the importance of educating ORAG members on responsible riding to prevent accidents and promote safer road use.

The IGP urged the Association to identify themselves, ensure their members are registered correctly, and meet all licensing and motorbike registration requirements. Yohuno emphasized that following road traffic regulations is crucial for rider safety and the safety of other road users.

Mr Michael Kofi Owusu, President of ORAG, welcomed the Police Service's collaboration to enhance ORAG's operations and promote safety while reducing crime. Yohuno pledged the Police Administration's commitment to continued engagement with ORAG and addressing their concerns to strengthen cooperation between both entities.
