Colombia stocks higher at close of trade; COLCAP up 1.05%

Colombia's stock market saw an upward trend at Friday's close, driven by gains in the Industrials, Services, and Agriculture sectors. The Colombia Stock Exchange's COLCAP index rose 1.05%. Among the top gainers were Bolsa De Valores De Colombia (BVC:BVC), which soared 2.79% to 16,960.00, Grupo de Inversiones Suramericana SA Preferred (BVC:PFGRUPSURA) up 2.08% to 53,900.00, and Organizacion Terpel SA (BVC:TERPEL) increased 1.62% to 18,800.00.

Conversely, Etb (BVC:ETB) slipped 4.00% to 120.00, Grupo Aval Acciones y Valores SA Pref (BVC:PFAVAL) dropped 1.43% to 830.00, and Corporacion Financiera Colombiana SA (BVC:CORFICOLCF) fell 1.34% to 22,160.00. The number of stocks that fell was equal to those that rose on the exchange, with no clear winner. In commodity markets, US coffee futures for December gained 0.25% to $277.20, while US cocoa for the same period declined 7.66% to $5,330.00.

Gold Futures for December saw a rise of 0.37% to $4,415.90 per troy ounce. Conversely, USD/COP climbed 0.41% to 3,184.33 and BRL/COP increased 0.19% to 619.19. The US Dollar Index Futures ended the day down 0.05% at 99.94.
