CM Punjab Announces Cancer Hospital in Every Division of Province

Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif of Punjab has unveiled ambitious plans to establish a cancer treatment hospital in every division of the province, with all facilities set to open within the next 12 months. During the inauguration of electric buses in Multan, the chief minister highlighted the Punjab government's commitment to developing extensive healthcare facilities, including cardiology and cancer hospitals, which will also cater to patients from other regions.

She provided insight into the success of a specific treatment method, stating that 100 cancer patients have fully recovered after undergoing treatment using a coagulation machine in Lahore. The chief minister revealed that the treatment costs range between Rs. 1.6 million and Rs. 2.8 million per patient, and the entire process can be completed within 60 minutes.

In addition to the new cancer hospitals, the CM announced that 100 million individuals received free medical treatment last year, while millions more are being provided with medicines delivered directly to their homes. Poor patients will also have access to free treatment at the Jinnah Institute of Cardiology. Allocating significant funds to various development projects, the provincial government has earmarked Rs.

300 billion for the Apni Chhat, Apna Ghar program, Rs. 500 billion for Suthra Punjab, and Rs. 200 billion each for green buses and hospitals. The CM emphasized that Punjab is constructing what she described as the world's largest cancer hospital.
