The Director-General of Ghana's Criminal Investigation Department (CID), COP Lydia Yaako Donkor, has revealed that forensic evidence from a nurse accused of aiding social media influencer Barbara Asantewaa Kodua, known as "Ghana Jollof," has linked her to high-profile financial sponsors. The investigation, which also examined audio and video files, as well as mobile money transaction records, found that significant sums of money were transferred from anonymous high-profile individuals to the nurse, Salomey Awiti Bafoh.
Bafoh subsequently shared portions of the money with Kodua, who is believed to be in the United Kingdom. The CID began monitoring Kodua's TikTok account for allegedly publishing offensive and false news. They identified Bafoh as assisting Kodua in disseminating the content and alleged that Bafoh recruited others to redistribute the videos across social media platforms.
