Cheque clearing date: Unnecessary propaganda being spread: Azma

Punjab Minister for Information and Culture Azma Bokhari dismissed concerns over the cheque clearing date mentioned in a recent statement by Fawad Chaudhry as unnecessary propaganda. She clarified that in Pakistan, cheques are typically cleared the following day, which is a standard banking procedure. According to Azma Bokhari, the process involves depositing the amount in banks, after which clearance occurs the next day.

Azma Bokhari also criticized Fawad Chaudhry's ignorance, suggesting that someone who once earned Rs55 per kilometer for helicopter operations, and whose leader has spent billions of rupees, would be better off remaining silent. Meanwhile, she highlighted the "Apni Chhat Apna Ghar" project as one of the five major projects globally and the largest in Pakistan. The project, entirely funded by the Punjab government, has constructed 202,913 houses, with 118,088 already completed, and 53,233 currently under construction.

Azma Bokhari emphasized that the "Apni Chhat Apna Ghar" project represents a significant achievement in Pakistan's history, noting that no other government has received an award of comparable magnitude. The project has provided homes to over 200,000 people in just two years, with a target of 500,000 homes to be built within five years. She attributed Maryam Nawaz's dream of giving deserving and homeless individuals their own homes to the success of the project.

The "Apni Chhat Apna Ghar" project has garnered global recognition for Maryam Nawaz's governance, following the success of the "Suthra Punjab" project. Azma Bokhari asserted that Maryam Nawaz's two-year term has demonstrated her effective leadership, with her achievements serving as a testament to her good governance in Punjab and Pakistan.
