Brazil police nab suspected serial killer disguised as woman

Brazilian authorities apprehended a suspect on Sunday after a 30-hour manhunt in a forested area of Paraiba state. The individual was dressed in a woman's clothing, including a dress and long black wig, and was carrying a baby, which police believe was a disguise to avoid capture. Civil police confirmed the suspect's involvement in 16 homicides, all occurring since May, out of the 80 killings he claimed responsibility for.

Eleven of the 16 confirmed murders were confessed to during questioning. The identities of the victims and details of the killings remain undisclosed. The suspect stated he acted alone and denied any association with organized crime, claiming his victims were involved in criminal activities and he was meting out justice. He claimed his first homicide at the age of 13 and denied being a psychopath.

During his arrest, police seized bulletproof vests, a submachine gun, and over 100 rounds of ammunition, which the suspect admitted were his.
