Ahmadiyya Muslim youth urged to protect Ghana’s resources

The Ahmadiyya Muslim Youth Association has encouraged young people in Ghana to uphold morality, respect others' rights, and safeguard the nation's natural resources. This was announced during the 45th Annual National Ijtema of the Majlis Khuddam-ul-Ahmadiyya Ghana, held in Kumasi and attended by young men aged 15 to 40 from Ghana, Nigeria, Benin, and Togo.

The three-day event featured prayers, religious and academic competitions, and sports activities like football and table tennis. The Vice President of the Middle Sector of Majlis Khuddam-ul-Ahmadiyya Ghana, Alhassan Ofori, stressed the importance of young people playing a vital role in promoting responsible leadership and national progress.

He emphasized that young people entrusted with public resources must use them wisely and be accountable to the people, noting that such resources belong to the entire population and should be used for their benefit.

Ofori also addressed illegal mining, urging those involved to consider the environmental consequences and future generations. He implored the youth to maintain high moral standards and responsibility within their communities. The Ijtema aims to strengthen the faith, discipline, brotherhood, and sense of responsibility among young members while preparing them to make meaningful contributions to society. The event concluded with a range of religious, academic, and sporting activities.
