After Musafir Cafe’s success, Vikrant Massey opens replica cafes in Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand

Vikrant Massey is reportedly developing two Musafir Cafe-inspired cafés, one in Himachal Pradesh and the other in Uttarakhand. Construction for both locations is already underway through his production house, Homemade Stories. The cafés will feature an authentic recreation of the one seen in the Netflix series, with around 20 artist-residence rooms also included.

The project aims to extend the world of Musafir Cafe beyond the screen. The main café from the series, where Massey's character Chander builds a new life, is based on filming locations such as Jharipani Castle in Mussoorie. The new cafés will replicate its look and atmosphere in the hills. The artist-residence rooms align with the themes explored in the series, which revolves around turning a homestay into a space for artists and those seeking a change.

Massey previously expressed his intention to open a café in Himachal Pradesh, with his wife Sheetal Thakur being from the region.
