2026/27 GHPL MD3 preview: Vision clash with Medeama as Hearts of Oak host Bechem United

The 2026/27 Ghana Premier League's third round of matches begins this weekend, with all 18 clubs participating across the nation. Matches will be held from Saturday, 19 September to Sunday, 20 September, with each game scheduled to start at 15:00 GMT.

On Saturday, Vision FC will face defending champions Medeama at the Nii Adjei Kraku II Sports Complex, both teams aiming to bolster their early-season progress. At Kpando Stadium, Heart of Lions will meet Swedru All Blacks in another Saturday encounter. The remaining eight matches will be played on Sunday, with Hearts of Oak hosting Bechem United at the University of Ghana Stadium.

Hearts have started the season impressively and aim to capitalize on that form against Bechem United, who are seeking a positive result away from home.

Asante Kotoko travels to the Nsenkyire Sports Arena to challenge FC Samartex, hoping to make an impact away from their home ground. At Nana Boamah Darko II Park, Port City FC, a newly promoted team, will host Berekum Chelsea, while Aduana FC welcomes Karela United to Nana Agyemang Badu Park.

Debutants Port City will be eager to make a strong impression on their first season in the top flight, aiming to build on their early performances. In other matches, Debibi United will welcome Young Apostles at the Debibi Park, Dreams FC will attempt to end their difficult start to the season when they face Bibiani Gold Stars at the Tuba Astro Turf, and Basake Holy Stars will host fellow debutants FC AshantiGold at the AAK II Park. All eight Sunday fixtures begin at 15:00 GMT.
