UAE weather forecast: Mercury to hit 46°C as humidity brings fog and mist risk in coming days

On Wednesday, the UAE is expected to experience scorching temperatures of up to 46°C in various regions, as reported by the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM). The humid conditions present a heightened risk of fog or mist developing overnight and into Thursday morning. Generally, the weather will remain fair, with cloud cover observed over eastern areas.

In internal areas, temperatures are forecast to fluctuate between 25°C and 46°C, while coastal regions and islands will see temperatures ranging from 27°C to 43°C. Mountainous regions are anticipated to have temperatures between 23°C and 35°C.

Relative humidity levels could surge to a maximum of 95% along the coast and islands. Winds are projected to be light to moderate, ranging from 10 to 20 kph, with occasional gusts reaching up to 30 kph. Sea conditions are expected to remain relatively calm in both the Arabian Gulf and the Sea of Oman.

The prevailing weather pattern is influenced by an eastward extension of a surface low-pressure system and a westward high-pressure system, in conjunction with an upper-air high-pressure system, according to the NCM. Throughout the weekend, similar weather conditions are anticipated, with Thursday expected to be fair to partly cloudy in the eastern regions, potentially accompanied by fog or mist formation overnight and on Friday morning. Low clouds are predicted to emerge over the eastern coast on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
