This retro compact camera looks like it stepped straight out of the 1970s – but it’s all digital and made by the brand behind the viral screen-free camera

Camp Snap's viral screen-free digital camera has returned with a new retro design. The Camp Snap 110D resurrects the narrow, wide 110 format film cameras from the 1970s, presenting them as an 8MP digital camera. Despite the different shape, the 110D incorporates many of the beloved features from the Camp Snap 2, including an 8MP 1/3.2-inch Sony sensor and a 26mm equivalent fixed lens.

What sets the 110D apart is its fastest shutter response yet, thanks to a redesigned button layout. The camera retains the screen-free approach, relying on a traditional optical viewfinder that encourages users to stay present without the temptation to scroll through their photos immediately. The 110 film format's simplicity is preserved, as the 110D uses a ready-to-shoot cartridge, eliminating the need to load film.

Five built-in filters can be swapped using a slider, and a microSD card slot allows for storage of about 2,000 photos. The camera is pre-loaded with a microSD card, ensuring users can capture around 2,000 images out of the box. While the 110D is longer than the Camp Snap 2, it's also slimmer and measures 143.2 x 50 x 24.5mm. A strap lugs attachment is available for attaching a lanyard or strap (sold separately).

The Camp Snap 110D has received positive feedback from the reviewer, who has used all current Camp Snap models and has nostalgic memories of using 110 film cartridges in the 1990s. The camera's image quality is expected to match the Camp Snap 2, while offering improved speed and a redesigned design. Priced at around $75, the 110D is positioned above the Camp Snap 2.
