The BBC is taking pitches for a new Doctor Who series

Key requirements for pitches include featuring the Doctor, at least one distinctive and authentic companion, and adhering to a family-friendly tone. The series should deliver "back of the sofa" scares, jeopardy, and tension while remaining suitable for a broad family audience. It should also celebrate curiosity, courage, intelligence, and compassion and interrogate the human condition. Producers should attach a committed writer to their pitches and include a plan to develop actors.
