Steelers news: Aaron Rodgers shuts Roman Wilson question with NSFW reply

The Pittsburgh Steelers are starting Week 2 on a promising note after their Week 1 victory over the Atlanta Falcons. As Aaron Rodgers enters his final season, the veteran quarterback is not keen on discussing individual target statistics, specifically in regards to teammate Roman Wilson. During the Steelers' press conference, a reporter inquired about Rodgers' thoughts on target counts after Wilson tied for second in targets during a recent game.

Rodgers firmly stated, "I don’t give a sh*t about the target list." He added, "I don’t care about any of that." Despite this, Rodgers expressed his admiration for Wilson, saying, "I love Roman, and I think he's done a great job." He also noted Wilson's impressive performance in the previous game, "I thought he played fast last week, thought he played decisive, and I think he’s just going to keep on getting better."

When asked again about his stance on target statistics, Rodgers reiterated his position: "Because the ball goes to the open guy. So I don’t want to hear people talking about nobody in the locker room talks about their targets. That’s all for you guys to talk about." Wilson finished the game with six targets, tied with tight end Pat Freiermuth, behind DK Metcalf's team-leading 10 targets.

Michael Pittman Jr., acquired from the Indianapolis Colts, caught three passes for 58 yards on three targets. Rookie Germie Bernard played three offensive snaps without recording any targets.
