Russian strikes injure 18 in Ukraine, say officials

Russian air strikes in Ukraine caused injuries to 18 people and inflicted damage on buildings across various locations, as officials reported on Telegram. In the Ukrainian capital of Kyiv, Mayor Vitali Klitschko disclosed that 12 individuals, including two children, sustained injuries due to the missile attacks. Klitschko further mentioned that apart from residential buildings, debris also landed on warehouse facilities and nearby a petrol station, which has become a frequent target for assaults. Reports from a Reuters witness earlier indicated explosions in the city.

The southern Black Sea port city of Odesa also faced the brunt of Russian airstrikes. A child was among the three individuals injured when the city was hit by a missile, striking a 19-storey apartment building. Additionally, three more people were wounded in Zaporizhzhia, located in the southeast of the country. Authorities in Zaporizhzhia reported that a missile strike resulted in a fire at an industrial facility during the early hours of Thursday.
