Real Madrid keen on Man Utd forward Gabriel, 15

Real Madrid and other major European clubs are vying for the signature of Manchester United's teenage forward JJ Gabriel, who is 15 years old. The 15-year-old has sent United a formal notice to cancel his registration immediately, but the club can contest the request. Sources claim that Real Madrid is particularly keen on signing the forward, with an immediate move to Real Madrid's Castilla reserve team being their goal.

Unlike English football, Castilla plays in senior matches, competing in the third-tier Spanish league. Gabriel's former coach at Castilla, Alvaro Arbeloa, has since moved to Fulham. Gabriel's manager, Michael Carrick, emphasized the importance of considering the welfare and well-being of young players like Gabriel. Chelsea is also interested in the teenager, making the decision for a potential move even more complex due to the rules surrounding the registration of young players.

United retains registration rights until the end of the season, and Gabriel's EU passport may allow him to join a European Union club upon turning 16.
