Poland deploys its military aircraft in response to Russian strikes on targets in central Ukraine

Ukrainian drone manufacturer Ukrspecsystems has revealed it secretly developed a strike weapon known as the RAM-2X, which has destroyed over 350 Russian systems. The company, famous for manufacturing Ukraine's SHARK reconnaissance drones, kept the RAM-2X's existence under wraps for two years, even as it was used to target Russia's expensive air defenses and missile launchers deep behind the front lines. By the end of 2025, the RAM-2X had become the Defense Forces' flagship mid-strike drone.

The RAM-2X, a mid-strike drone that loiters behind enemy lines, circles, and dives into its target, has claimed over 350 Russian systems since 2024, according to Ukrspecsystems. Defender Media reported more than 1,000 targets destroyed by the RAM-2X over two years. The drone has spread to about 100 military units and 250 trained teams, with each operator capable of flying it from anywhere in Ukraine.

It has also collaborated with the SHARK-M reconnaissance drone, with one drone finding the target while the other destroys it.

In July, Ukrainians raised funds to purchase 30 RAM-2X drones for military intelligence and security service use. The RAM series, which includes a fixed-wing model supplied since late 2022, has engaged over 450 targets, with more than 400 against air defenses. The drone has demonstrated impressive range capabilities, covering 140 km in 2024 and reaching up to 180 km in optimal conditions, with a crew from the 429th Achilles unmanned-systems brigade setting a record at 215.5 km.
