PM Modi Birthday Special: 42.5 Lakh Diyas To Mark Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Birthday At Indore's Rajwada & Other Iconic Locations Across 8 Districts

Indore, the capital city of Madhya Pradesh, will witness a grand diya-lighting ceremony on Thursday to mark Prime Minister Narendra Modi's birthday. The Seva Sankalp Abhiyan, a month-long initiative, will see over 42.5 lakh diyas lit simultaneously at various iconic locations and cultural heritage sites across eight districts in Indore division.

The main program will take place at Rajwada, with beneficiaries of government schemes and citizens participating in the Aashirwad Ka Diya program. Rajwada will be the focal point, with the district aiming to light eight lakh diyas, while Burhanpur will witness the division's largest exercise with 10 lakh diyas. Other districts such as Jhabua, Dhar, Khandwa, Barwani, Alirajpur, and Khargone have set their respective targets for diya-lighting.

Apart from the diya-lighting, blood donation camps targeting 3,650 units will be conducted across all eight districts until October 17. The campaign also includes various public outreach and service activities like painting and speech competitions, street plays, anganwadi programs, beneficiary interactions, service camps, and an innovation challenge. Safety measures to prevent fire-related incidents have been put in place.
