OrbitDesk is a training lab for Modern Workplace operations, developed by Devine Nyaenya-Portfolio in Nairobi, Kenya. It covers various IT support topics such as Entra ID, Intune, Exchange, Teams. The lab is designed to simulate a support shift, including ticket triage, sign-in logs, audit logs, service health, message trace, and communication tools.

It runs entirely in the browser with no backend required for core training, using a local-first stack with Next.js, React, TypeScript, Tailwind CSS, and WebRTC. WebRTC is used for voice calls and team calls, with signaling implemented using BroadcastChannel for cross-tab communication. The system uses Web Speech API for speech recognition and text-to-speech, along with Web Audio API for ringtone, hold music, and vibration.

The core training features a queue of tickets with priorities, SLA timers, and client context, while the team calls feature allows team leads to call agents in the same class/workforce, with presence indicators and coaching capabilities. The lab can be packaged for distribution on desktop platforms such as desktop, Play Store, and Microsoft Store.
