New York Giants sign DL Josh Tupou to 53-man roster

The New York Giants strengthened their defensive line by signing veteran Josh Tupou from the practice squad, preparing for their upcoming Week 2 matchup against the Los Angeles Rams. Standing at 6-foot-3 and weighing in at 350 pounds, Tupou plays as a nose tackle. He joined the Giants in May and underwent training camp before being assigned to the practice squad. This move brings Tupou back to head coach John Harbaugh following his tenure with the Baltimore Ravens, where he played in six games over two seasons.

Tupou's impressive career includes six seasons with the Cincinnati Bengals, where he worked hard to make an impact. He amassed 94 tackles and three sacks in 71 career games, starting 23 of them. Prior to that, the undrafted free agent from Colorado spent six seasons with the Bengals. The Giants also bolstered their practice squad by adding former Denver Broncos cornerback Jaden Robinson.

Meanwhile, wide receiver Dalen Cambre, who was briefly elevated prior to Week 1, has been re-signed to the practice squad.
