Mohamed Salah gets a new German coach at Turkish club Trabzonspor

Trabzonspor has acquired German coach Thomas Reis from Bulgarian club Ludogorets. Reis signed a two-year contract with the Turkish club, replacing Fatih Tekke, who resigned after the team's Europa League elimination. Reis cited the opportunity to work with former Liverpool star Mohamed Salah as a key motivator. Salah, who is on a stellar nine-year run at Liverpool under German coach Jürgen Klopp, has scored four goals in five league games for Trabzonspor.

Reis, who has prior experience in the Turkish league with Samsunspor, expressed his excitement about working with Salah and giving him "freedom in attack." Trabzonspor, which won its last Turkish league title in 2022, currently sits ninth in the standings after five rounds.
