'Keep Ganesh Visarjan Peaceful, Preserve Harmony': Dhirendra Shastri's Appeal In Bhiwandi

Bhiwandi: Reverend Dhirendra Shastri, the Bageshwar Dham Peethadhishwar, appealed to devotees for a peaceful Ganesh Visarjan, emphasizing the collective responsibility of every community to preserve social harmony. Shastri made the appeal at the public Ganesh festival organized by the Dhamankar Naka Mitra Mandal in Bhiwandi, drawing a large crowd to the venue.

He urged followers of Sanatan Dharma to celebrate with love, restraint, and peace, while also urging members of other communities to respect the festival and refrain from causing any disturbance. The Dhamankar Naka Mitra Mandal's 'Ekta Cha Raja' Ganesh idol, a prominent attraction of the city's Ganeshotsav celebrations, was praised by Shastri.

During his address, he highlighted his admiration for the grand replica of the Swaved Mandir of Varanasi installed at the venue and compared it to Mumbai's famous Lalbaugcha Raja, noting that it gave Bhiwandi its unique identity. Shastri emphasized that religion can influence politics but should not be governed by it, drawing lessons of wisdom, intelligence, and discretion from Lord Ganesha.

He also called upon people not only to follow religion but to understand its values and teachings, urging them to wake up and awaken others. Describing Bhiwandi as a 'Mini India', Shastri stressed the city's diversity as its strength and urged people to rise above caste and regional differences, working towards the development of the country, with national interest taking precedence over divisive disputes.
