Joyce Bawah Mogtari urges African women to value their leadership journey

Joyce Bawah Mogtari, a Senior Presidential Advisor and Senior Presidential Aide, has urged African women engaged in public service and leadership roles to appreciate the significance of their personal journeys. In a recent Facebook post, Madam Bawah Mogtari highlighted her involvement in a programme organized by the Association of Women Accountants Ghana during the International Public Sector Accounting Standards Board’s third-quarter meeting in Accra.

The event, themed "Celebrating the Journey: Choices, Milestones and Successes," aimed to acknowledge the experiences and accomplishments of women in various fields of public accounting, auditing, policymaking, and governance.

Reflecting on her own leadership trajectory, Madam Bawah Mogtari emphasized that each woman's journey holds immense value, particularly those pursuing careers in public service and other influential positions. "To every woman navigating her own path in public service, I dare say to you that your journey with all its choices, milestones, and successes matters," she stated.

The African leader also stressed the importance of Africa's engagement in global standard-setting dialogues and expressed her appreciation to the organizations responsible for hosting the programme and convening professionals from Ghana, Africa, and beyond.
