Fresh CBI FIR in Disha Salian death invokes gang rape, murder charges

Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Sanjay Raut defended his party member Aaditya Thackeray in the Disha Salian death case, stating that the Central Bureau of Investigation's filing of a First Information Report is an attempt to tarnish the Thackeray family's image. The CBI registered the FIR in the 2020 case without naming any accused, following Bombay High Court guidelines.

Aaditya Thackeray claims political motives behind the accusations. Raut also criticized the Rane family, despite them alleging a link between the Thackeray family and the case. Salian, a former manager of late actor Sushant Singh Rajput, died in June 2020 after falling from a 12th-floor building in Mumbai. Raut further criticized Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde for participating in a Modi birthday event, suggesting it disproves Shinde's claim that Bal Thackeray is not his leader.

Raut urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi to retire, stating it's time for a new leader who is knowledgeable about both domestic and international affairs.
