Exco belia dan sukan N Sembilan tolak gesaan Loke letak jawatan

Pengerusi Jawatankuasa Belia dan Sukan Negeri Sembilan, Mustapha Nagoor, rejected the pressure from DAP Supreme Council Loke Siew Fook to have exco members of the state take on positions if they do not reaffirm Tuanku Muhriz as Yang Dipertuan Besar. Mustapha stated that Loke should not meddle with adat Negeri Sembilan affairs or make pressure on the exco position.

"Who is he to urge (take on positions). Don't interfere and sit quietly," said the deputy speaker to FMT while urging all parties to refer to the statement of the Chief Minister Ismail Lasim on Tuesday's vote of the exco. Earlier, Loke urged all exco members of Negeri Sembilan to take on positions if they do not reaffirm Tuanku Muhriz as Yang Dipertuan Besar.

The MP from Seremban said all exco members concerned raised their oath of office before Tuanku Muhriz at the beginning of August following the formation of the state government after PRN. On Tuesday, the exco of Negeri Sembilan declared a proclamation of Tuanku Nadzaruddin Tuanku Ja’afar as the new Yang Dipertuan Besar effective April 19, 2023, and reaffirmed Tuanku Muhriz as the new Yang Dipertuan Besar.

However, Ismail today asked the state executive council to continue the proclamations process according to the rules. However, the State Law and Parliamentary Affairs (DKU) Negeri Sembilan stressed that the exco's decision does not have a legal effect. DKU also stressed that Tuanku Muhriz remains as the Yang Dipertuan Besar of Negeri Sembilan.
